Licenses, paperwork, head aches and the people that get away with it.

TODAY I LEARNED A VALUABLE LESSON.

I'VE PLAYED IT SAFE ALL MY LIFE.

My bro and I are putting a business plan together. Filling out paper work, applying for a business licenese, wholesalers permit and a tax id.

It's very tiresome and tedious, but they're required things.

Why are they required things though?

I never bothered to ask. I have some clue as to why.

This is what I've come up with.

It's to REGULATE the flow of business.

My ass makes a design, I buy a large order in bulk, I use my wholesalers license, if everyone bought in bulk without a license, there would be no profit in my line of work, therefor there is no business. I buy all of it, keep the receipts. A year later I file that for taxes. The city taxes me and I get a refund, it's a win win situation. The city makes money therefore I contribute to the flow of business. My pockets get fat, guilt free.

I'm way past my "anarchist" days, when I didn't care about right or wrong, I just didn't care about rules, I mean I followed them but I would question the fuck out of those rules and get in trouble all the time (no criminal record though!).

I use to say F_ _ k the police, because I use to feel that some officers used their authority to replace the lack of power or purpose they never had. I still feel that way about some, but at the end of the day assholes have jobs too.

There's hustlers, grind-ers and do-ers.

I like to think I hustle, but in reality I'm just a do-er, by rule.
By virtue I'm a good guy, hard working. My bro, does the right thing and (except for always speeding and cellphone driving) always works hard, looks out for his fam and friends. You know we're good people.

Where am I getting at?

I'm merely suggesting that we need disorder to be in order, to be on top of things.

I will get stopped by the cops if I sell my clothes on the streets, I will be asked to provide a permit to buy from top notch distributors and companies.

I'm sick of seeing people sell shit on the street (excluding fruit and food vendors, we need them) coming to my job, making bundles of cash and not paying a goddamn cent towards taxes.

It's funny how things get done in the city.

Should we just say f_ _k it and start selling shit from the trunks of our rides. It'll give us that street cred that we're looking for. Or should we be patient, do the right thing and work hard at being a company with drive and determination with a hint of morals.

Please don't get us wrong, we're not out to act holier than thou. We have no high horses to get off from. We're just tired of people not following order, when people chastise us for not following the rules. What makes them so special that they can get away with it?!
